✅ Arlington, Virginia - Social Media Intern TThe Digital Communications & Social Media Intern will support the Alliance for Secure AI’s online presence by helping develop engaging digital content that communicates the organization’s mission and policy work. This role focuses on expanding the organization’s reach across social media platforms through creative storytelling and strategic messaging. The intern will assist with designing graphics, short-form videos, and other visual content that translates complex AI policy topics into accessible public communications. They will also support digital campaigns and help maintain organized media assets used across platforms. This internship provides an opportunity to build hands-on experience in digital communications within a mission-driven nonprofit.
Roles/Duties:
- Support the organization’s digital presence by helping create engaging social media content across platforms
- Assist with designing graphics, short videos, and visual storytelling materials that communicate AI policy ideas to public audiences
- Monitor trends in AI, technology, and advocacy to help produce timely and relevant digital content
- Contribute to digital campaigns through infographics, social media threads, and quote graphics
- Help maintain media asset libraries and assist with drafting copy for newsletters, blogs, and the website
Job Requirements:
- Design and schedule social media content including graphics, reels, carousels, and short-form videos
- Track trends in AI and tech policy conversations to identify opportunities for relevant posts
- Assist with digital advocacy campaigns and content toolkits for online engagement
- Organize visual assets such as templates, graphics, and media files for easy team access
- Support content creation for newsletters, website updates, and occasional blog posts
