Job Description:
✅ AUSTIN TEXAS - Intern - Political Research Assistant Assist with political research projects on firms, staff, and campaigns to support ongoing election and advocacy efforts. The ideal candidate will conduct background research, gather and organize information, and contribute to strategic research initiatives. As a Political Research Assistant, you will learn and assist with talent sourcing and candidate background research tasks, helping to ensure accurate and thorough vetting. You will also support ongoing projects with data entry, data cleanup, and document formatting, maintaining organized and reliable records. The role includes working on a variety of short-term and summer projects as needed. This position requires strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Candidates should be comfortable managing multiple assignments and handling confidential information with professionalism. The role requires in-office work twice weekly at our downtown location next to the Texas Capitol.
Roles/Duties:
- Conduct political research projects on firms, staff, and campaigns
- Learn about talent sourcing and candidate background research tasks
- Support ongoing projects with data entry, cleanup, and formatting
- Work on various projects both short term and for summer
- Work in-office downtown twice weekly next to the Texas Capitol
Job Requirements:
- Based in Austin and available to work downtown weekly
- Strong research, writing, and organizational skills required
- Interest in Republican politics, campaigns, or staffing work
- Self-starter who works well independently and on deadlines
- Proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, and online research tools
