Campaign Canvasser Job Description: Top Duties and Qualifications

Job Description:

✅ A Political Campaign Canvasser assists with our political campaigning and election campaigns. The ideal candidate should be able to conduct door-to-door and telephone canvassing, and other campaign activities to get out the vote and increase voter turnout for our candidate. As a East Providence, Rhode Island Political Internship, you will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data on voter preferences and voting habits, organizing canvasses and campaign events, attending meetings and events to represent the campaign and candidate, and working with volunteers and supporters. The job requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment. You should be knowledgeable about the null hypothesis, hypothesis testing, predictor variables, and the one-sided test and its effects on canvassing results. Additionally, the job requires flexibility to work long hours, and including evenings and weekendse. Roles/Duties:

• Prepare and organize walkbooks for voter canvassing operations
• Assist with volunteer coordination and daily field logistics
• Support voter contact programs and turnout tracking efforts
• Maintain and update voter contact lists and campaign databases
• Perform data entry and segmentation for voter outreach programs
• Assist campaign staff with field reporting and analytics
• Support daily campaign operations and volunteer coordination
• Help organize canvassing events and field outreach activities
• Monitor voter contact results to assist campaign strategy
• Work with campaign staff to ensure accurate field data reporting

Compensation Range:

$20 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule:

The Internship will typically work full-time or part-time, with flexible hours that may include evenings and weekends.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary through April 2025.

Ability to Commute: Travel to cities in the United States (Might be Required)

Experience Requirements:

No prior experience is required, but prior experience in political organizing or advocacy is a plus.
